Gianfranco Gorgoni was born in Rome in 1941. In 1969 he moved to New York, where his first love, photography, becomes a job in all respects. Friendship with art dealer Leo Castelli open the doors to the studios of famous artists such as Andy Warhol, Richard Serra, Keith Haring, Robert Rauschenberg, James Rosenquist. His work has been published the world over. His famous portraits captured the most representative figures of the last century from Fidel Castro to Pope John Paul II.
