Born in Florence on May 24, 1992. From an early age he felt the need to express himself in various fields such as painting, video and photography. At the age of 11 he was the protagonist of an exhibition organized by the Municipality of Prato and the Luigi Pecchi Center. The recent works of Giovanni Sanesi are born in the suspended time of this period, a time between a before and an after. The painter's large canvases look at the world we live in and reflect on the great themes that today emerge from the depths and become evident. The works are glimpses, views of interiors, in which the subjects live the domestic space. These subjects see themselves and let themselves be glimpsed by the observer. There are three macro-themes that the artist's works introduce: identity, relationships and time. The light becomes a subject as much as the figures and autonomously chooses what to illuminate.
These works recall a human figure who simultaneously lives in a concrete dimension and a virtual one: a concept taken up in the cycle of relationships. His works show the observer the human search for a balance between isolation and intimacy.
Currently works between Italy and USA.
